Lori Knudson

My name is Lori Knudson. Following completion of my BA in sociology/criminology from Western Washington University in 1992, I became an educator. I began my teaching career as a pre-school teacher in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle, WA. I completed my Master of Education and Teacher Certification at Antioch University while teaching Pre-K children. From there I moved directly to Blanchet High School in Seattle, quite the transition! After a few years I moved north to Snohomish County, teaching intermediate level PE and Health and middle school Math for many years. I began my administrative career as a middle school assistant principal with certification from Seattle Pacific University; I did this for four years. Following this, an interesting opportunity arose to work in curriculum at the district level coupled with a position as elementary librarian. I jumped at the chance to be back in the classroom with students. In addition to these teaching and administrative experiences I have also been a middle school and high school basketball and volleyball coach all along the way. I am now in my third year as the elementary principal in La Conner, WA.
